Blog #6 The Ancient undefeated boxer who never threw a single punch

Blog  #6 The Ancient undefeated boxer who never threw a single punch

Boxing is a sport that practices the art of fighting with Fists oh, any modern boxing they use padded gloves in a rope Square ring and fight using rules established in the beginning. However, in the origins of Boxing ancient Greece, boxing was a lot more dangerous. The ancient Greeks former boxing in which two men sat face-to-face and beat on each other with their fists until one of them was knocked out or killed. In ancient Greek boxing, there was no such thing as divisions or weight class, so boxing in ancient Greece was dominated by the biggest guy. Fights in boxing we're usually the hands were wrapped up in cloth to keep the bones from breaking otherwise they just fought naked. A lot of the matches in ancient boxing would just be two boxers standing still and just taking turns punching each other until one falls down pretty brutal. Until one boxer under the name of Melankomas came onto the scene oh, he had a very different type of fighting style which primarily revolved around defense and Agility. He would hold his guard, slipped through punches, and roll around the ring to the opponent gives up. His stamina was the stuff of Legends the boxer could repeatedly stand with his hand up for the entire day without moving an inch and he was so fast that most important would look at their swing at clouds instead of him. In all those matches he would never take a single hit or every deal a single hit to his opponent. This man was the stuff of Legends as he went through his entire boxing career without taking a punch or ever swing a punch. All his opponents would just admit defeat after hours and hours of swinging at nothing and tumbling over at the turn around him but end up missing him entirely. Many people might think why would they even bother to challenge him if they know they may never hit him, however, most boxers put a thought in their head that maybe that they will be the guy who hit him and then they become the stuff of Legend. Overall this was just an interesting story I found and I thought to share it.

Entry# 5 Response to Ducey: Why Arizona needs more college grads

Entry# 5 Response to Ducey: Why Arizona needs more college grads

After reading this articles it gave me some much needed information about this subject. The articles had many really good points about Arizona's current educational predicament, with only about half of Arizona's workforce has a college degree or even went to college. This small blog will contain two points that I really like that the articles and the last point will be what I thought about the article in whole.
The first point I liked  is "States with better educated citizens also see economic benefits"(from the article). I believe this is true, due to some of the richest states in the United States of America have a much better education than Arizona. The goal they have set makes a lot of sense and is very believable for it is not some outlandish number like by 2020 over 90% of Arizonans will have gone though college. Their goal is to get more people into college.
and they want 60% of Arizona citizens to have gone to college and have a degree by 2030.
The second point that I would like to bring up in the raising of the bar; the world is a very competitive place and we need to prepare children and teens for it. By raising the bar of education it could either deter people from going to college or get them to go too college. If more people go to college and get their degrees then a plethora of jobs will open up to them or they could create their own place of business. If the plant they are putting into motion goes off without a hitch then Arizona will see less poverty on the streets, more jobs to choose from and more funding for the government to use for the people of Arizona. However I believe the only way to get more people into college is to make it more affordable, the main reason most people don't go to college is the threat of being in debt to them. That is a scary thought for most and enough to deter them from going.

What I thought about the article was that it was well-rounded it was full of information facts charts the whole nine yards. It helps put a nice little grasp on Arizona's educational issues, however the site was putting my computer through the loops. When I went on it it's slow down my computer to an almost-dead stop. Those are my thoughts on this article overall it was good.

Entry# 4 Australia's war against emus

Entry# 4 Australia's war against emus

Image result for EmuAustralia is a country that is in the southern hemisphere on the planet, it is surrounded by the Indian and Pacific Ocean. The country is widely known for its Sydney Opera House, the Great Barrier Reef, a vast interior desert Wilderness they call the Outback, and many unique animal species like the kangaroo and the duck-billed platypus and many others. Australia has many unique things about it that make it very interesting like all the poisonous animals there however what makes it most interesting is its history in war. For some contacts after World War 1, a lot of Australian soldiers came home and use the money they got an earned the start of a farm and have a piece of life with their friends and family. On those Farms, the group many different kinds of crops, but they tend to attract animals an animal that attracted by something called an emu.
When was I want to Australia's most dangerous creatures, which in retrospect is very impressive compared to all the other danger that they have inhabited the Outback. It even has a large flightless bass running Australian bird closely resembling the ostrich, but they're Shaggy gray or brown feathers, with blue skin on the neck and head. They have three-toed feet with a fight in Talons on each one, and he kicks so powerfully it can rip through a steel fence.

In spite of the recommendations and the promised subsidies, wheat prices continue to fall and by October 1932 matters will be coming really intense with the farm repairing to harvest The Season's crop also tells you threatening to refuse to deliver the wheat. The difficulties of the farmers only increase as more than 2,000 demon sort of the child down on their crops and rabbits through their land. Farmers, of course, started to relay their concerns about the big birds rubbing their crops to the government. The military got involved during October 1932, but before that Australian Farmers border militia to battle the birds. All the men travel to Campion, where some 50 emails were cited. And the birds were out of range of the guns the locals that were attempting to hurt you move into an ambush, however, the bird's blade of small groups and ran they were difficult Target. Nevertheless, while the first Skirmish was ineffective to the machine does not have the range needed the second skirmish was a bit different with a burst of gunfire was able to kill a number of birds. Later during the same day, a small flock was encountered with perhaps a dozen birds were killed and after many more events like this, the military eventually had to back down due to the birds not falling back. This is where I'm officially the Australian military gave up and surrendered to emus never relinquishing from the fight.

Entry #3 Hidden Facts

Entry #3 Hidden Facts

Image result for news networksNews networks are one of the most watched channels in the United Stats; However, they are seen as the most reliable place to get information on current events, but often they will lie to their viewers. thousands of people tune into news networks like Fox news or CNN every day to find out what is going on in the world today. these networks promise to give its viewers the truth about the world, but they will hide information, manipulate, and completely change the truth.

Fox news receives around 2.8 million on average total viewers every day, and other news channels get around the same. The networks thrive on the on their viewership, and they will do pretty much anything to keep people coming back and watching. There have been few cases where they will lie, and hide information from prying eyes of the public to serve their agenda. an example would have to be a when then the election for president was going on, CNN would try to keep any negative topics or facts about Hillary from getting out. They would also give negative information on Trump; however, Fox news did the same for Trump. Another example would have to be when they lie about the weather.
Image result for news networksI believe there are at least two different ways this issue could be fixed. One would have the networks to stop hiding all the information, but this option is least likely to happen. Due to how much money the networks make off their current strategy. The second option is the views need to do the research themselves; however, this might be the harder option due to how lazy our society has become. Another option is to have a network that has an unbiased option, and only willing to show the facts.

Entry #2: Review of Joker

Review of Joker

Joker is a 2019 American psychological thriller film directed by Todd Phillips. The film is based on a DC comics mainstay known as Joker. This film stars Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker, giving him origin story set in 1981, the film follows Arthur Fleck, a failed stand-up comedian who turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City. The film became the highest grossing R-rated film over the past week surpassing the dead pool films. Even though critics are not a big fan of it and even with all the bashing it was getting from news networks it still got good reviews from the audience. The Joker movie has been getting a lot of attention since it was announced, so I thought this could use my opinion since I have been watching movies my whole life. The Joker movie was a  dark and a compelling origin story of a man's painful journey to self destruction. This type of story telling goes along with the comic called the "Killing Joke" with the message of one bad day can ruin a man. When I watch the film I did feel bad for Arthur in the beginning; however, thought the film as you see him go down the rabbit hole you kinda see why and how he ended up like this.(Spoiler Alert) As you watch and start to question why did all of this happen like of did a crazy women adopt a child, and why didn't Thomas Wayne get Arthur's mother put away and get Arthur back into the orphanage. Thought the film I did feel unconformable, but i'm sure that was the feel this film was going for, to give the audience an uneasy feeling. However the film was entertaining definitely not for the faint of the heart. I would say if you get the chance go and give it a watch, but don't go out of your way to give it a see.

Entry #1: Influence of Blogs

Influence of Blogs

What is a blog; a blog is a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style. Blogs are often used to spread ones opinion about topics that they are interested in; it lets the readers, and writers finally be the critic that want people to be. An example could be looking for a vacation spot for the year. The proprietor will give you information, but they are trying to sell the vacation spot to you. A blog could revival the same information and their experience in an un-biased manner.

Everyone has an opinion about something, so here is mine about blogs. Blogs have a unique ability to reach people to unlimited ends of the world; both for a positive and negative purpose in today's modern social world. Many people can get a taste of other's opinions,or experiences. Some of the positives about blogs can revile information about places before you even visit them. The biggest negative about the blogs are people may not get the same experience if they just went in blind. Another negative are bloggers trying to push an their agenda and spread false information which happens to often, but can't be helped.

A blog called "Pinch of Yum" is a food blog that displays recipes for healthy and delicious foods. Their site is easy to access, and all the recipes are well detailed, easy to find, and most importantly really tasty. Another blog that I believe is one worth looking at is "Screen Rant". They are company blogger, they have many writers that work for them. Some work really hard on their projects, and others are only there for a pay check, but you will usually find a great gem to read with some fun facts. The last blog that I will talk about will be "A Beautiful Mess" a women's lifestyle company focused on creating happiness every day through a homemade lifestyle. On the blog, two sisters share home decor projects, recipes, crafts, and style, as well as bits of our lives.
